Master class by Elinor Bennett, Artistic Director
30 March, 4:00 – 5:30pm & 31 March 12:00 – 1:30pm
Are you preparing a new piece for an examination or concert?
Would you like to share a recording of a piece that you are in the process of learning and receive helpful, constructive comments?
Elinor Bennett invites harpists to send recordings of music for comments and help in preparing and interpreting. The recordings should be of “work in progress’ not necessarily the finished article, and all recordings received will be safeguarded and destroyed immediately after the class has finished.
In addition to discussing general points, Elinor will select 5 or 6 of the video performances to be played and discussed in more detail during the masterclass. Every harpist who registers for the class will receive written feedback on their performances.
Elinor was a student of Osian Ellis at the RAM and worked with him on the Suite for Harp by Britten. She also worked closely with William Mathias, John Metcalf and other contemporary composers.
Suggested repertoire: Free choice from advanced to diploma level.
The masterclass will be held on zoom.
Cost to watch the masterclass: £5 per session.
